Direct Support Professional- Day Service LaPorte County

The direct support professional is responsible for attending to personal health care needs and assisting individuals with disabilities in learning and maintaining independent functioning skills. This includes planning and implementing community-Based programming, providing supervision, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one to two years of experience in social services or working with people with disabilities. Good communication skills, the ability to respond to medical needs, and a valid driver's license are also required.
