Direct Support Professional- Residential Services Lake County

The direct support professional is responsible for attending to the personal health care needs of individuals with disabilities and assisting them in learning and maintaining independent functioning skills. This includes planning and implementing daily schedules, providing supervision, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one to two years of experience in social services or working with people with disabilities. Good communication skills, basic knowledge of disability types, and the ability to respond to medical needs are essential.
