Special Education Teacher - IDD Residential Treatment Facility

The teacher must identify student educational needs, develop formal educational plans, and create lesson plans to teach subjects and improve student study or communication skills. Responsibilities also include observing students, teaching in various settings, communicating progress to stakeholders, and documenting educational goals and progress.

Candidates must possess current pennsylvania special education certification and a bachelor's degree in education or a related field eligible for certification. Preferred qualifications include one or more years of experience working with the facility's population, knowledge of developmental stages, and required certifications like cpr and de-Escalation/Restraint training.
