Core responsibilities
The assistant infant teacher will support the lead teacher in fostering a caring and educational atmosphere for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months, which includes assisting in delivering tailored learning experiences and contributing to lesson plans. Responsibilities also involve ensuring a safe environment, collaborating with staff on daily activities, and engaging in regular communication with families regarding child progress.
Requirements summary
A minimum of a high school diploma/Ged and at least one year of experience in a licensed odjfs child care program are required, with preference given to candidates holding a cda, aa, or higher degree in early childhood education. Applicants must also pass a background check, have current physical status, and be able to work the specified shift of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
