Classroom Assistant (Southern Maryland Campus-California, MD)

The classroom assistant supports students with disabilities by providing safe supervision and instruction, adhering to behavior intervention plans, and assisting with the adaptation of instruction to meet individual academic and medical needs. Responsibilities include supporting iep implementation, teaching life skills, recording data, providing basic medical support, and participating in meetings and professional development.

A high school diploma or ged is required for this position; an associate’s degree in education or a related area is preferred. Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred, and required training certifications must be achieved and maintained.
