Middle School Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher is responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment, managing the learning process, and focusing on students’ individual needs as defined by their individualized education program (Iep). This includes developing compliant ieps, facilitating meetings, ensuring accommodations are provided, and actively working with students and parents to advance learning.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree and an active kansas teaching certification, along with the ability to clear a required background check. Other qualifications involve proficiency in microsoft office, strong communication skills, and the ability to interpret and use student data to drive instructional decisions.
