High School Counselor

The school counselor promotes student success by implementing a comprehensive program guiding learners in academic achievement, social-Emotional development, and career/College readiness, including planning postsecondary options and delivering classroom instruction. Responsibilities also involve reviewing transcripts, developing four-Year graduation plans, analyzing student data for intervention plans, and providing short-Term counseling and referrals.

Minimum qualifications require a bachelor's degree and three years of experience in counseling or advisement, along with a kansas counselor certification and the ability to pass a required background check. Desired qualifications include a master's degree in school counseling, experience with distance learning, and proficiency in microsoft office suite and database systems.
