Core responsibilities
The teacher will lead instruction for 6th-8th grade students with ieps by designing personalized learning experiences, delivering targeted instruction using innovative resources, and managing caseload responsibilities including iep development and updates. Responsibilities also involve establishing a positive classroom climate using pbis strategies, tracking student progress, and collaborating with parents and colleagues.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field and hold or be in the process of obtaining an illinois state professional educator (Pel) and learning behavior specialist (Lbs1) credential. Prior experience in curriculum development, differentiation, and special education compliance, particularly with various disabilities, is highly preferred.
