Instructional Support Counselor

The instructional support counselor supports leadership, teachers, and students with social-Emotional and academic learning, focusing heavily on student behavior, attendance, and crisis intervention. Responsibilities also include providing direct counseling, supervising tutoring during classroom removals, and maintaining strong parent/Guardian relations.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, along with demonstrated excellence in communication and counseling skills for working with diverse populations. A new jersey doe school counselor or school social worker certification is considered a bonus but is not mandatory.
