Blue Ridge Job Corps Recreation Specialist

The specialist is primarily responsible for developing, conducting, and supervising leisure-Time activities for all students, which includes assisting in planning, organizing, and executing the department's total recreational services. Duties also involve maintaining discipline, cleanliness, inventory control, submitting required reports, and chaperoning off-Center trips.

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with microsoft office applications (Word, powerpoint, outlook, excel) and possess basic computer literacy, along with high-Level communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A minimum of one to two years of related experience, including one year working with youth and young adults, is required, alongside an associate of arts degree.
