Job description
Job Summary East Tennessee State University Career Services is seeking a Coordinator, University Career Services. Reporting to the Director of University Career Services, the Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the department.
The Coordinator manages the flow of work and visitors through the office, answers and routes incoming telephone calls, and trains and supervises student workers. In collaboration with Career Coaches, this role assists in planning and executing career fairs and related events, including coordinating logistics, ordering supplies, and promoting participating employers to ETSU students.
This position is also responsible for maintaining the departmental budget, including purchasing and account reconciliation. The Coordinator may provide career counseling to students and alumni as needed and performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to plan, market, and conduct public events such as career fairs, networking events, employer tabling events, and other events for ETSU students and alumni.
- Office management skills, including typing, word processing, spreadsheet development and management, and telephone skills.
- Ability to manage, organize and prioritize multiple tasks for ones own work and the work of others.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Exemplary organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.

- Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Prior experience in career services in a university setting
