Teacher - Special Educational Needs

The teacher is responsible for planning and preparing courses and lessons, teaching assigned pupils according to their educational needs, and assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil development and attainment. Duties also include promoting the general progress and well-Being of pupils, providing educational and social guidance, and communicating with parents and external bodies.

Essential requirements include holding a recognized teaching qualification for northern ireland grant-Aided schools and possessing a minimum of four years of paid teaching experience in key stage one or key stage two, demonstrating knowledge of sen teaching strategies, including experience with autism spectrum disorder and learning difficulties. Candidates must also be registered with the gtcni and demonstrate knowledge of the northern ireland curriculum and safeguarding policies.
