Adjunct Faculty are responsible for facilitating student learning by delivering assigned classes according to college policy and course objectives, and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi. Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
This role is only for teaching classes in-person, on campus, in the Indianapolis service area, not asynchronous online sections.
This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Possesses an earned bachelor or higher degree, preferably in areas such as education, leadership or psychology.
Have experience instructing, teaching or guiding adult students/clients.
Must demonstrate the ability to promote an environment that reflects the broad backgrounds represented by our students, in which every individual feels respected and valued.
Provide content-centered instruction in an ON CAMPUS setting, with a focus on interactive application of the objectives within Student Success.
