Core responsibilities
The peer leader will primarily assist in implementing the puente program by providing academic support and transitional programming to incoming first-Generation, pre-Nursing undergraduate students in a residence hall setting during a one-Week summer program. Responsibilities also include enforcing program rules, ensuring student well-Being, and assisting with planning and delivery of program activities and events.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be current sophomores, juniors, or seniors in the pre-Nursing or nursing program at regis university with a minimum 2.5 gpa and in good standing. Applicants must be available for full participation, including overnight stay, from july 17–24, 2025, and possess strong communication skills and sensitivity towards first-Generation college students.
