Group Exercise Instructor

The group exercise instructor teaches group exercise classes for carilion wellness, ensuring correct exercise technique and teaching safe, effective, and motivational classes based on department guidelines. They must also ensure facility cleanliness after use and maintain satisfactory performance evaluations.

Candidates require basic knowledge of health and fitness and must possess a carilion wellness approved group exercise certification prior to hire, such as les mills or zumba. Applicants must also be able to instruct exercises confidently and demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and physiology related to exercise and safety.
