Job Summary
- The Substitute Teacher is responsible for delivering instruction, maintaining classroom management, and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The substitute follows the lesson plans provided and upholds the academic and behavioral expectations of the school.

- Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the regular teacher.
- Maintain classroom order, safety, and discipline in accordance with school policies.
- Monitor and support student engagement, participation, and appropriate behavior.
- Take attendance and complete any required documentation or reports.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students’ varying needs, as appropriate.
- Communicate with school staff regarding any issues or concerns that arise during the day.
- Uphold school values, expectations, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Leave written notes for the returning teacher summarizing the day’s activities and student progress.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and move around the classroom for extended periods.
