Job Summary

  • The Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality, standards-based instruction to students, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting student academic and social-emotional growth. The Teacher designs engaging lessons, assesses student progress, and collaborates with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to ensure student success.

  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Monitor and assess student performance through formal and informal assessments.
  • Provide timely feedback and academic support to help students meet learning goals.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and grade-level or subject-area team meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
  • Uphold school policies, procedures, and professional expectations.
  • Foster a growth mindset, critical thinking, and a love of learning in students.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid state teaching certification/license in the applicable subject area and grade level.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, and actively instruct for extended periods.
