Summer Teacher Assistant – Special Education (The Schwartz School)

The assistant supports the continuous implementation of educational, functional, and therapeutic goals outlined in student individual education plans (Ieps) by providing direct instruction and assistance with daily living skills. Responsibilities also include maintaining records, utilizing student technology, and assisting with vocational routines and special events.

A high school diploma or ged is required, though an associate's degree and parapro certification are preferred. Candidates must have at least one year of experience working with students aged preschool to 22 in a classroom or home care setting, along with current cpr and first aid certifications.
