Core responsibilities
This role involves supporting individuals in developmental disability programs, adhering to the principles of self-Determination and positive approaches as defined by pennsylvania's office of developmental programs' 'everyday lives' concepts. The specialist will help ensure individuals receive necessary support to make choices about their lives, including how they live and manage their budgets.
Requirements summary
Qualifications vary based on education, ranging from a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field, or any major with one year of paid experience, down to a high school diploma/Ged with one year of paid or volunteer experience working with young adults or adults. Experience working with youth, families, and individuals with intellectual disabilities is required, along with proficiency in microsoft office suite and reliable transportation.
