Special Education Substitute Teacher- IPS

The substitute teacher is responsible for maintaining schedule availability to accept weekly opportunities, executing lesson plans according to guidelines, and upholding an orderly classroom environment to provide a positive learning experience. Duties also include familiarizing oneself with emergency protocols, taking attendance, assigning homework, and engaging students while maintaining a respectful demeanor.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma, though no formal training is required, and demonstrate a desire to work with children of all abilities. Excellent english communication skills are mandatory, and while classroom experience is preferred, applicants must pass fbi and dcs criminal history background screenings.
