About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Special Education tutor to provide individualized general academic support to a 4th-grade student. The tutor will work in a one-on-one setting and support learning through structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate instruction.

• Responsibilities: Provide in-person academic support in Geometry, English, and World History Adapt lessons to meet the student’s learning needs and IEP accommodations Simplify complex topics and reinforce foundational skills Support student focus, comprehension, and study habits Communicate progress and challenges as needed

Qualifications

Background or experience in Special Education (required) Strong knowledge of high school Geometry, English, and World History Experience working with students who have IEPs Patient, reliable, and able to commit long-term Willingness to travel to the student’s location Available for weekly 2-hour sessions Why Tutor Me Education?
