SY25-26 Anticipated (Temp) PreK-3 Gen Ed Regular Teacher

The teacher is responsible for the instruction, progress, and discipline of assigned pupils, which includes developing written lesson plans, establishing positive learning expectations, and evaluating student progress while maintaining accurate records. Essential functions also involve implementing contemporary teaching methodologies, promoting anti-Vandalism programs, and establishing reasonable classroom conduct rules consistent with the chicago public schools' uniform discipline code.

Candidates must have successfully completed all student teaching requirements and coursework necessary to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate(S) from the illinois state board of education, possessing either a professional educator license (Pel) or an educator license with stipulations (Els). Required knowledge includes subject matter consistent with certification, contemporary teaching principles, and classroom management techniques, along with the ability to modify instruction and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
