Summer Academic Counselor

The academic school counselor will work within an educational team to deliver high-Quality education in small group settings, focusing on one-On-One or small group classroom guidance to promote student engagement and performance for title i students. Responsibilities also include regularly consulting with parents, teachers, and school personnel while maintaining open communication and providing local resources as needed.

Applicants must possess a required school counseling licensure or social worker qualification and must be a legal resident of the state of new york to be considered. A minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred, along with the ability to meet physical demands such as lifting 30 pounds and navigating stairs in a school building.
