Job description

  • Facilitates the overall development of the staff education and competency programs Develops/coordinates curriculum to meet learning needs of clinical staff and conducts competency testing based on annual needs assessment and strategic initiatives.
  • Identifies trends in the health care areas and develops/coordinates curriculum to maintain clinical competencies Collaborates with management to implement and evaluate programs ensuring clinical disciplines have the necessary clinical competencies.
  • Trains clinical staff to ensure proficiency in the organization’s EMR.
  • Assists management with developing and coordinating clinical orientations across affiliates.
  • Develops, facilitates, and/or provides in-service offerings as needed to assist clinical disciplines in performing job functions and evaluates effectiveness of in-service programs and educators involved.
  • Develops, facilitates, and/or provides in-service offerings to assist clinical specialty service development and delivery.
  • Assists in quality and documentation audits Acts as a clinical resource to staff and management.
  • Tracks education program attendance in order to monitor compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Participates in quality assurance audits, committees, and projects as needed
