Sociology Instructor

The instructor is responsible for teaching assigned classes according to departmental goals, maintaining required office hours for preparation and advisement, and submitting all necessary paperwork for student documentation and evaluation. Essential duties also include participating in department/College committees, developing professional improvement plans, and maintaining knowledge of diversity-Related issues and best practices.

Candidates must possess a master's degree in sociology or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in sociology coursework. Preferred qualifications include at least three years of college-Level teaching experience, commitment to the community college mission, and the ability to create student-Centered learning environments utilizing innovative instructional methods.
