Family Assistant Worker

The family assistance worker provides interventions to children in the day treatment program, focusing on teaching essential skills like communication, de-Escalation, and coping techniques to help them remain in school, the community, and home. Responsibilities also include attending to children's needs during activities, providing feedback in team meetings, modeling appropriate interactions, and completing timely documentation.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent along with two years of experience working with children who have severe emotional disturbance (Sed) or have experienced abuse and neglect. Applicants must also obtain or hold a missouri class e driver's license, maintain continuous auto insurance, have reliable transportation, and successfully complete cpr/First aid and pro-Act training.
