Core responsibilities
The pgy1 residency program aims to develop pharmacist practitioners skilled in diverse patient care, practice management, leadership, and education, accelerating 3-5 years of practice experience into one year. Residents must provide safe and effective patient care services, facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, participate in medication-Related interventions, conduct practice advancement projects, and provide effective education and training.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor's or doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, along with experience gained through the degree program. Required state licensure includes clinical pharmacist and pharmacist controlled substance licenses for the state of michigan, and basic life support (Bls) certification from aha or arc is also mandatory.
