Core responsibilities
The specialist will collaborate with the program site to plan and execute summer curriculum and literacy strategies, modeling best practices such as reading aloud and literacy stations. A key duty involves coaching program staff to enhance their capacity to implement these strategies and conducting pre- And post-Literacy testing for evaluation.
Requirements summary
Candidates should ideally be currently employed as certified elementary teachers with a background in reading instruction. A commitment to working with urban, at-Risk children, including english language learners, and a willingness to use research-Based intervention strategies are required.
