A master's degree in counseling psychology or marriage & family therapy or a related field is required, along with an lmft (Licensed marriage & family therapist) certification. Candidates must possess advanced knowledge of group dynamics, psychiatric disabilities, and relevant regulations like the joint commission and obra.
