Core responsibilities
The certified special education teacher will manage a student caseload, prepare lessons, instruct students, and evaluate performance under the campus director's supervision, while implementing a best-Practice educational model for students on the autism spectrum. This role also involves directing, monitoring, and mentoring paraprofessionals and behavior specialists working with students with disabilities.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a valid special education teaching certificate and a bachelor's degree or higher, along with a valid arizona ivp fingerprint clearance card. Experience is preferred, especially 3 years working with students with moderate to severe disabilities, and willingness to receive training in applied behavior analysis (Aba) strategies is required.
