Core responsibilities
The certified special education teacher will manage a student caseload, prepare and deliver instruction, evaluate student performance, and advance student achievement while working collaboratively to implement individualized education programs (Ieps). This role also involves directing, monitoring, and mentoring paraprofessionals and behavior specialists supporting students with disabilities.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a valid special education teaching certificate and a bachelor's degree or higher, along with a valid arizona ivp fingerprint clearance card. Experience is preferred, particularly three years working with students with moderate to severe disabilities, and willingness to receive training in applied behavior analysis (Aba) strategies is required.
