Core responsibilities
The youth counselor provides direct care coverage for male clients aged 12-17, focusing on ensuring safety, supervision, skill building, and behavioral management through consistent reinforcement and proactive intervention. Responsibilities also include establishing therapeutic relationships, participating in team case reviews, following medication guidelines, and completing timely documentation of services.
Requirements summary
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or ged; a bachelor's degree in a human services related field is preferred. Desired qualifications include a desire to help children succeed and prior experience working with children in school or mental health settings, alongside strong communication and basic computer skills.
