Position Overview

The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for supervising and engaging campers throughout the day. This role ensures a safe, structured, and fun environment while leading activities, managing transitions, and supporting daily routines.

Key Responsibilities: Supervise campers ages 5–12 at all times

Set up and lead games, activities, and group events

Manage camper transitions (meals, outdoor play, field trips, etc.)

Encourage participation and positive behavior

Help maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all campers

Assist with distributing meals and snacks

Monitor campers closely to ensure safety at all times

Help with cleaning up activity areas and shared spaces

Follow all safety, licensing, and school policies

Communicate concerns or incidents to leadership promptly

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old

Experience working with children preferred but not required

Energetic, positive, and patient

Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to stay active and engaged throughout the day

Dependable and punctual

Preferred Backgrounds: Previous summer camp experience

Babysitting or childcare experience

Interest in education, recreation, or child development
