Special Education Co-Teacher - IDEA Travis College Prep (26-27)

The co-Teacher assists in the educational and social development of students with significant cognitive and/Or pervasive developmental disabilities under the guidance of lead teachers, focusing on implementing individual education plans and monitoring student progress. Responsibilities include supporting students inside and outside the classroom, assisting with daily living needs like feeding or toileting, and collaborating with related service professionals such as therapists.

Candidates must possess a minimum of 48 college hours, with a bachelor's degree preferred, and experience working with children with cognitive or pervasive developmental disabilities is strongly preferred. A willingness to pursue special education certification is required, and those with a bachelor's degree can enroll in the idea special education certification program.
