Core responsibilities
The aide will support assigned students one-On-One to meet goals outlined in their individualized education plan (Iep), providing customized behavior support and teaching life skills as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include implementing behavior support plans, tracking data, utilizing intervention strategies, and ensuring student safety through supervision and crisis management techniques.
Requirements summary
A high school diploma is required for this role, though experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs in an educational setting is preferred. Candidates must be physically capable of swift movement, lifting up to 50 pounds or more, and remaining calm during demanding situations.
