Core responsibilities
The role involves supporting an assigned student one-On-One to meet goals outlined in their individualized education plan (Iep), which includes providing customized behavior support and teaching essential life skills. Responsibilities also include assisting in the development and implementation of behavior support plans, tracking data, and utilizing intervention strategies, including de-Escalation and restraint if necessary.
Requirements summary
A high school diploma is required for this position, though experience working in an educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs is preferred. Candidates must be physically capable of swift movement, lifting up to 50 pounds or more, and maintaining composure during demanding situations.
