Core responsibilities
The primary responsibility involves utilizing advanced social services knowledge to provide appropriate support to children and families in the head start/Early head start program, including conducting eligibility processes and facilitating parent engagement. This role also requires building partnerships with families to help them identify goals, developing partnership agreements, and managing comprehensive family files and recordkeeping.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of experience working with children and families in a social services setting, with head start/Early head start experience being preferred. Required certifications include first aid and cpr within three months of assignment, successful completion of level ii background and drug screenings, and demonstrated sensitivity to diverse cultural and socioeconomic needs.
