Core responsibilities
The counselor will develop systems to integrate substance abuse treatment with other facility programs and assess inmates to implement plans for modifying substance abuse problems in coordination with staff and consultants. They will also conduct various treatment sessions and provide comprehensive training to staff on substance abuse identification and skills.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold current certification or credentials from the ohio counselor & social worker board, ohio medical board, or ohio board of nursing, including licenses like lcdc ii/Iii, licdc, lisw, pcc, pc, lsw, physician, psychologist, or registered nurse. One year of related experience is preferred, and a valid ohio driver's license is required.
