The teacher is responsible for providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to foster intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. This includes planning individualized programs, creating a conducive learning environment, and employing diverse instructional techniques consistent with student needs.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and hold the appropriate texas teacher certificate for the assigned level or subject area. Effective written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to maintain professional relationships, are also required.
