Core responsibilities

The lactation consultant will educate and support new mothers during their inpatient stay and follow up with post-Discharge calls to ensure needs are met. Additionally, this role involves serving as an educator/Consultant to nurses and other healthcare professionals within the women’s and children service line when patient interventions are required.

Requirements summary

A minimum of 2 years of experience in women’s health healthcare or education is preferred, along with knowledge of fetal, newborn, and maternal anatomy/Physiology. Required credentials include iblce certification, and a current rn license is preferred.
