Summer 2026 RN Externship Program

Externs are responsible for performing basic patient care tasks such as hygiene, frequent rounds for comfort and toileting, and accurately documenting patient information. They must immediately report any changes in patient condition or abnormal vital signs to the supervising nurse and ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times.

Applicants must be current bsn students entering their junior year, graduating in december 2026 or may 2027, and maintaining a minimum 3.0 gpa. Required certifications include current american heart association basic life support (Bls) and compliance with the cms covid-19 vaccine mandate.
