Academic Advisor, Communication & Arts

The academic advisor is responsible for general academic advising for prospective and current students, including transfer advising and support for special populations needing proactive success programming. Essential duties involve meeting with students to assist with course selection, transfers, financial aid appeals, and processing registration overrides.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent with two years of related experience and/Or training is the minimum qualification. Candidates must possess strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills, the ability to learn college policies, and knowledge of relevant laws like ferpa, title vii, title ix, and ada.
