Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Colorado Early Learning standards while maintaining compliance with state requirements. Teacher Assistants will support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities, supervision, and maintaining a safe learning environment.
Teachers must meet Colorado PDIS qualifications and have experience in a licensed childcare setting preferred, while Teacher Assistants require a high school diploma or GED. Both roles require knowledge of early childhood development and the ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
We are seeking a caring, energetic, and qualified Early Head Start Teacher to provide high-quality early childhood education services for infants and toddlers ages 0–3. The successful candidate will create a nurturing learning environment that promotes school readiness, supports family engagement, and follows Head Start Performance Standards.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities. Foster children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. Conduct ongoing child assessments and maintain accurate documentation. Maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging classroom environment. Partner with families to support children's growth and development. Participate in home visits, parent conferences, and family engagement activities. Ensure compliance with Early Head Start, state licensing, and agency requirements. Collaborate with teaching staff, specialists, and community partners.
Required Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Infant/Toddler Development; OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with Infant/Toddler endorsement and willingness to continue education. OR PDIS Level 3 or higher with the willingness to pursue Associates or CDA Experience working with infants and toddlers. Ability to pass background checks and meet Colorado licensing requirements.
