Med Assistant Training Program - June 2026 Program Start

Trainees will undergo an 18-Week training program combining foundational coursework and practical clinical externship hours to prepare for medical assistant certification. Responsibilities during training include classroom study, externship work, and performing tasks like blood draws and immunizations on pediatric patients.

Candidates must be a milwaukee county resident meeting grant funding eligibility, possess a high school diploma or ged, and have prior customer service and healthcare experience. Applicants must also pass the tabe test at a 6th-Grade level in reading and math and commit to working at children's wisconsin for over two years post-Training.
