Passionate about helping others thrive academically and personally? The Retention & Student Success team is hiring student employees to provide mentoring, tutoring, and executive functioning support. Applications are open year-round and reviewed as positions become available!
Student Positions
- Level II – Peer Support & Academic Coaching
- Peer Mentor $12.50/hour – Currently Hiring
- Graduate Student Peer Mentor $12.50/hour – Not Currently Available

- Level III – Advanced Peer Coaching

About Retention & Student Success
Our mission is to support students throughout their academic journey by offering personalized resources, peer mentorship, and learning strategies. We foster a welcoming and growth-focused environment where students can succeed inside and outside the classroom.
- Peer Mentor (Level II)
- Support first-year and continuing students academically and personally
- Help with transition strategies and student engagement
- Act as a resource for campus services
- Meet regularly with assigned students and track progress
- Tutor (Level II)
- Provide academic support in specific subjects, individually or in groups
- Clarify material and improve study techniques
- Collaborate with faculty and staff
- Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions
- Peer Mentor Coordinator (Level III)
- Help students build skills in organization, time management, and goal-setting
- Provide weekly accountability check-ins
- Share tools for overcoming executive functioning challenges
- Communicate progress to staff (with student consent)
Ideal Qualifications
- Strong academic performance and communication skills
- Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Leadership or peer support experience preferred
- Training provided upon hire
Job Details
- Hours: 6–10 per week (flexible with your course schedule)
- Compensation: Based on level (Level II or III)
- Location: In-person with some virtual options
