About the role

As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will support students with their academic, behavioral, and self-care goals. You will implement IEPs and assist students with transitions and personal care as needed.

At New Story Schools, we serve students ages 5–21 with autism and emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.

Guided by individualized learning, therapeutic integration, and collaboration, we empower students to grow and prepare for meaningful adult lives.

As a Special Education Paraprofessional at New Story Schools, you will work alongside teachers to support students’ academic, behavioral, and daily living goals.

You’ll play a vital role in helping each student succeed through direct support, patience, and encouragement.

Start Date: Mid-June (candidates will work the Summer Extended School Year, with carryover into the 26-27 school year).

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities. Knowledge of behavior management strategies and strong communication skills are also necessary.
