Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is searching for a Nursery Group Teacher to care for a classroom of young children, ages 12 to 24 months, in the Early Childhood Education Center at our Families w/ Children facility located in the Jamaica area of Queens, NY.
In this role, you will support infant/young toddlers by meeting their developmental needs through responsive caregiving, play, and early learning activities.
This position is per diem, working as needed without a fixed schedule.

Homes for the Homeless operates shelters for families experiencing homelessness in NYC.

Hold an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education; or
Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and have a study plan to obtain an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education within 7 years; or
Hold a high school diploma, have 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education, and have a study plan to obtain an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education within 7 years; or
Hold a high school diploma and have 5 years of supervised experience in an infant-toddler classroom (if currently employed in a program); or
Hold a high school diploma, have a study plan leading to 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education within 2 years, and have a study plan to obtain an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education within 7 years.
