Physical Therapy Assistant

The physical therapy assistant assists the physical therapist in patient screenings, assessments, and implementing treatment plans. They also maintain equipment, participate in educational projects, and ensure effective communication regarding patient care.

Candidates must pass the national physical therapy examination and hold a license or eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist assistant in new mexico. Graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program is also required.
