Responsibilities
The Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Health Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that promote cardiovascular health and support patients participating in cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation. This position works collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members—including nurses, exercise physiologists, dietitians, and physicians—to help patients adopt and maintain healthy lifestyle behaviors, manage risk factors, and improve overall cardiovascular wellness.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health education, Exercise Science, Nursing, Nutrition, or related field. Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease processes, risk factors, and lifestyle interventions. Excellent communication and teaching skills with diverse populations. Ability to develop creative and engaging educational materials and presentations. Proficiency in documentation and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

- Requirements: Master’s degree. 2+ years of experience in cardiac rehabilitation, health promotion, or patient education. Certification as a Health Education Specialist (CHES) or equivalent. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
