Swim Instructor

The swim instructor is responsible for providing swim lessons, both private and group, to participants of all levels according to ymca standards, while ensuring the safety of all class participants. This includes instructing, evaluating students, submitting required documentation like report cards and attendance, and maintaining professional conduct.

Candidates must successfully pass a level 2 background screening and possess proficiency in swimming strokes with the ability to instruct and demonstrate techniques. Required certifications include cpr for the professional rescuer/First aid/Aed, wsi and/Or ymca swim instructor certification, and annual completion of specific ymca training modules.
